The Solution To The Abortion Issue- Church Run Prisons

The Solution To The Abortion Issue- Church Run Prisons

It’s true. I, Matthew Steven, have solved the abortion issue with a compromise that should suit all parties, and no law needs to be drawn up to implement it.

If a member of the Roman Catholic Church has an abortion, then by church rules they should suffer the consequences. They should have to go to prison for murder.

But the rest of the people who do not believe that it is murder should not have to pay for it.

Therefore the answer is to have churches exercise the power to imprison their own members, but with a few stipulations that already exist in law.

First, should the member publicly renounce their faith and agree to permanently be expelled from the church community, they will no longer be under the church jurisdiction and shall be free to leave whatever punishment has been imposed on them by their congregation.

Second, no permanent harm may be done- no executions, no torture, no repeat of the Spanish Inquisition. The churches are only imprisoning voluntary prisoners and are not allowed to break any laws, period. Nor do they have the authority of the state to execute people. The state will have the right to inspect these prisons at any time.

Finally of course the churches shall have to pay for their prisons on their own. Since their prisoners are only there for breaking church law but not national law, the rest of the nation who may not agree with the criminality of the act should not have to pay for it.

I have children. they are the light of my life.
For someone to tell me that it is the right of
There mother to decide whether they were to live or die is terrible. She does not have the right to kill my little girls. and Im not even close to roman catholic

Darren, most happy couples would never have an abortion, even if the pregnancy was not planned. Most pro-abortion people want abortion to be an option in other situations, such as after a rape or if the pregnancy can potentially kill the mother.

I doubt any happily married wife would have an abortion and kill "her husband's children". Yet, if the same woman were to be raped by a psychopath, would you want her to carry the child conceived as a result of the rape? If you were married to this woman, would you be able to care for the child as if it were your own? If so, I admire you, but remember that most people are not like that.

I would never have an abortion under normal circumstances, but since such situations exist, I am glad I have the choice to carry a pregnancy to its term or not.

Thank you for that commentary regarding a select area of our society and the solution you have brainstormed for that particular groups' stance.

I have a larger societal idea in which you might be interested.

Mandatory vasectomies,

reversed only when there is a permanent court order allowing any sex partner to have access to half of all the belongings, potential income, paying for their lost wages...guaranteeing that a man will not use a woman as cut rate childcare..or seldom get to see the kid(who typically bonds with childcare strangers often disgruntled for living at poverty level) weekends and daddy typically becomes the Disneyland Dad while still being abusive to the mother. Then spend more time and money in court battles taking from a child they never intended to have, leaving the world with more messed up people.

If we are going to dictate how women should live their lives and force them to do things involving their bodies and rights to pursue happiness,or just survival in a society that is not very supportive of parenting and family health, then the same should go for men..snip snip...

If you don't like the thought of abortion, don't have one...or keep your dick in your pants. Improve birth control and work on helping others that are already in a tough situation..I am guessing some religious fanatics wrote some of this other crap...throw the stone and judge...kiss ass later for you redemption...sick judgmental folks, bringing down thine neighbor..like they are Fn perfect, sissies, "because I whine to forgiven for living life I am better than you"
In a more serious tone here:
Women are the most often taking care of others, the most underpaid and abused. Have a society that values them and meets their needs. Take responsibility that actually merits respect and may actually denote sacrifice on other folks part, and we would so vastly improve our world.

Hello Liz,

I agree that responsibility should be placed on men to pay for their acts of procreation when they are careless or sexually irresponsible.

Men who wish to spread their seed throughout the gene pool should be held to a financial standard of responsibility so that the offspring are paid for in full. So that would be an interesting twist, only the richest men would be able to afford to breed with abandon and the poorest would become instantly destitute.

Obviously it's a deeper issue than that and is riddled with inequities, paradoxy and exceptions.
